Greg,

Nice work & good descriptions. Interesting idea to use MO caps for power
limiting. Question: Each MO cap is passing up to 1.6 KW through it. Do
they stay cool?

I have bought several times from USA Manufacturing without an account. I
just used a credit card - no problem. Yes, they are a wonderful source of
cheap MO caps (fifty cents each!) and occasionally more beefy HV caps.

MOT supplies have a lot of advantages in my opinion. They are free or very
cheap, the transformers are nearly bullet-proof, and they are great for
filtered DC supplies. But they do demand respect as they are potentially
lethal.
