Re: shocks from unpowered secondary part 2

Hi All...
for those of you into the secondary charge stuff... here is a good
experiment...
run the coil and remove the secondary from the set-up, being careful not
to discharge the secondary. Place the secondary on a dry insulated
surface, place a dish towel with the frizzled ends near the secondary,
then slowly slide a grounded object within an inch or so of the
secondaries grounding wire. ( some experimentation may be needed to find
the gap jump length here) . When the secondary is "charged" it will
cause the frizzles on the towel to "reach" towards the coil. When the
coil will discharge to the grounded object ( make sure there is an air
gap) the frizzles will lay down. Slowly the frizzles willl reach back
towards the coil and then the coil will discharge again. This will
happen for 2 - 3 minutes at about 6 - 10 times a minute....
be careful when removing the secondary coil from the assembly ... dont
let the ground wire from the secondary hit your leg... it will render
your leg useless for a few minutes....
