Re: NON-static shocks from unpowered secondary?

Hi All!
While working on my 10" coil I got belted pretty bad by the
secondary while dismantling the coil. It was a clear, dry evening, and I
got beaned by a 1/8" spark that burned and stung like the dickens (what is a
dickens anyway?) So I yelped and snatched my hand back, and like a classic
idiot, figured "Okay, that hurt, I'll try it in a different spot." Bzert!!!
And never one to learn, I grabbed it in yet a different spot with both hands
this time (sometimes my learning curve is flat enough to bowl on) and got
belted across both hands. I finally wised up then and just left the darned
thing assembled and locked the garage for the night.
