	Exactly correct.  These waves are compression waves in an elastic
medium such as air, water, or a metal bar has been understood for
centuries.  The "aether" must have been invented to apply the same
phenomenon to light and electromagnetic waves, without any success and 
without being needed after Maxwell's work.
