Ballast resistors

Hi All,

While thumbing through the DigiKey catalog, I ran across some BIG 1000 Watt 
power resistors.

Top of page.  Values from 0.25 to 15 ohms. 2 plus inches in diameter and 15 
inches long, they may make nice ballast resistors for a pig or big MOT 
system.  They withstand 10,000 watts for 5 seconds.  Not too pricey at $52 
bucks each...

Just at thought.
