Here is a good example of a VERY EFFECTIVE and EFFICIENT secondary winding
jig.
Basically one (1) 2x4, (2) wood dowels, and some nails (about $5.00 total)
built me a jig
which I wound all my coils with.
This jig is completely "hand" powered so no need to worry about lathes,
hooking up motors,
or other power drills.
I can wind a 4" x 30" secondary using 24 AWG wire in about 30 minutes.
My 10" x 48" tesla coil only took me about 1 hour to wind.
