steve.. Ball lightning is easy . use a big clear glass bowl upside down in 
microwave lift it off of the platform with something plastic to hold the 
tupperware bowl 1" or so above the bottom of the microwave set something in 
the middle of all of that that will hold a match stick straight up . Light 
the match , put glass over it and switch it on \. Amazing results every time!
