Actually, Adam,

The effect of HV fields on plants can be quite interesting. When I was in HS, I
did a paper on this effect, and If I remember correctly, a charged grid was
placed over a square of plants. they grew at an accelerated rate, I think...I
wish I could help with source info, but it's been years.
