hmmmm...

standard scrap steel selling price in this area is 70 cents a pound... 
 SS is 75 cents    2000.00/.75 = 2666 lbs  

4' dia ( for example ) would make this thing better than an inch thick 
shell wise...  ( think my math is right) ...

would need some serious support for a VDG or on top of a secondary coil 
  ;)
