I picked my CS Notes to see if I find this. I'm still looking, but
I found something interesting:
In the page of Sept. 19 1899, Tesla shows some connections of the
extra coil of a magnifier. One of them, that he says that is the
best, includes a capacitor in parallel with the secondary coil. He
ends saying "the question is what is the best length to give to
the wires". So, Tesla knew that the system has to be upgraded to
6th-order (three resonances) to have best results.
