I remember a TV program once on these fellows who launched small rockets
trailing thin wires at storm clouds, hoping for lightning hits. Can't
remember what they were researching, but I do remember they initiated
launch with a long rubber hose with a pressure-activated switch at the
far end; you'd blow into it [from the bunker], lauching the rocket.
Sounds like a good thing for any kind of HV stuff, ensuring no conductor
whatsoever from the operator to the danger area.
