Hi Dan
1) Run the SRSG in front of a single flouro (not a twin , remove one tube if
fitting is twin) you can see the patterns on the disk freeze. It will be
very soft but it can be seen. Helps if you put say a large sticky label on
the disk
or
2) You can generally hear the motor come up to speed and "lock in" and "hum"
very smoothly.
or
3) make a simple strobe (see Terry's site for details)
