Tell the folks with the fog that they should do away with the cheap (initial
cost, not operating cost) glycol based foggers and go to either mineral oil
(which, properly used, won't leave much crud around, at 5-10 mg/cubic meters
and no evaporative losses) or real water fog (MEE high pressure spray, CO2
rumble pots or LN2)...
Glycol steam is just a royal pain, leaves sticky mess everywhere, and leaves
an icky taste in your mouth. I wouldn't want to be breathing it for very
long either, as, while theoretically nontoxic (they put it in all manner of
cosmetics, sodas, etc.), it does need to be broken down internally, and if
the fog machine runs a bit hot (hmm... how good do you thing the temperature
regulation on that inexpensive fog machine is) the dissociation products are
definitely non healthy,
