  Sound's like your pretty pump on this. I for one won't miss the weight of
a NST! You could add some electrolytics and make a doubler (or rectify 220V)
and then use an inductor to resonantly charge the primary cap at a frequency
other than 60 hz. This would also double the voltage on the cap again. Then
add some switch timing mischief....
