Hey all,
  I just found out that the wavetek 27xt (and LCR55 also) are
available at radio shack.  You'll have to order it and pay shipping,
but they do have it.  The price is 119.95, I'll see if I can get the
part number.  The LCR55 is a little more sensitive for inductance, but lacks 
a few features that the 27xt has.  check wavetek's website.

wavetek LCR55 pn 910-0161 169.95
