Yep, I can say that I have done the old "lightning from finger tips" trick
before! Its DEADLY if done improperly!! Streamers from the Tesla Coil are
like "wires" and can draw current from any electrical socket or wire that is
energized. This is why it is so DANGEROUS!
ie. If a streamer left my hand and hit a 120 VAC 15A socket, I would draw
all that power to my body....then if another streamer contacted ground, I
would pass all that energy + the output of my tesla coil through my body at
a lower frequency. THIS WOULD CAUSE SEVERE INJURY OR POSSIABLY DEATH. I can
only imagine what could go wrong if a streamer hit a energized 14.4 kV mains
line which runs 5000 AMPS!!!
