RE: Silly question?

Well, for me it's a matter of not having the time or dexterity or accurate
depth perception to make either a sewing machine type winder.
When measuring, I tend to invert everything, over and over. I've checked my
measurements up to 20 times and still had them wrong.
I snap anything smaller than 29 gauge wire because I have little or no
feeling in half the fingers of both hands so I can't gauge how tightly I am
winding anything.
I admit, I am a little surprised I was able to wind my secondary windings
without too much trouble.
I'm also apprehensive as to whether I can do it. Ever hear the saying that
if you don't think you can, you can't? I'm living proof that this isn't so.
My life is full of events where I tried to do something that I was totally
convinced I was unable to do, but decided to attempt just so I could not say
I didn't try and succeeded!
There is one fella on the list Jduva who made an amazing computer controlled
winder. I got a wound tranny from him, and its beautiful work. I just need
to get together a decent sized MMC for it.
In fact, soon will be a good time for me to start thinking of ordering some
caps to make an MMC about .034uF is about what I need to make.
