RE: Parts sources for coilers

Hey Gary: I think I'm insulted :))
I know that Terry is in reality an agent for Digi-Key. <ha> Are you too?
When I built my first coil and now my new one with Marc's T-gap, I got many
key parts quickly and reasonably from...RadioShack.
For example, they carry MOVs in the right size. And resistors are cheap in
bulk from the rs-dot-com site for your favorite MMC.
And finally, wire wire wire.
I used RS AWG 8 Megacable to interconnect virtually everything. PVC covered
and extremely flexible. Comes in Red and Black. I even made my external NST
to cabinet mounted MOV filter board using Megacable over-sleeved with air
compression hose and terminated with PL-259 connectors. Cheap, viable and
slick.
So, as an employee, I would like to make the above ammendment to your
otherwise very useful page.
Regards
Ted

Greeting All:
One of the most frequently asked topics on this List is on where to get
parts. I have added a page to my web site listing my personal
favorites, along with a few words of commentary of what each vendor is
notable for. The page is at:
