The material I have been discussing in several posts is called "Superflex" in

McMaster-Carr catalog. It is 0.005 inch aluminum if fully expanded. It is 
semi-rigid
and very tough stuff. Evidently it's annealed aluminum. There would be no 
need to pressurize this material; it wll hold its shape.

 I tried that once. When the duct has pressure applied to the inside it has a
 tendency to twist. Instead of a toroid, I ended up with a figure 8. Ruined a
 good piece of 8" duct that way.
