RE: SW bottle caps

I have to agree with Michael. Unless you are trying to build a coil with a
$14.95 budget (and you really shouldn't do that. Some things cost more to do
than other hobbies) there is no technically sound reason to use SW caps when
an MMC has been shown to be so reliable, maintainance free, and with some
careful shopping (ie Geekgroup) somewhat more affordable than it used to be.
But if your dad owns a beer bottling factory...go for it...by the case.

Hi all
Been reading this thread with some interest, I thought SW caps were DEAD
and buried
but they just don't seem to die....
If you want the best covering on the outside of the bottles forget foil,
paint etc, just submerge
the bottles in salt water, fill the bottles with motor oil and fill the
container that holds the
bottles with oil and hey presto No fizz, No corona.
If you take a look on our web
site:-http://freespace.virgin-dot-net/michael.tucknott/tesla.htm
and go to the components page and then look at caps you will see how to
build these little baby's.
The best route to follow is to contact Terry F off list and buy a few of
his caps and build an MMC...
