Paul,

There really isnt enough info to be of any use.. however I would say that
you havent tuned it properly... having said that your 1/2 inch secondary may
be too thin (not enough inductance) to pick up anything from the primary. I
would rewind a new secondary and keep the turns ratio about 1:4 that is to
say on a 4" secondary you would wind about 20 inches...
