Hi All,

Electrical grade oil (Shell Diala) will attack even fully cured silicone
RTV. There is some black goop that cures rubbery like RTV out there
somewhere that resists oil but I can't remember the name of it. It's
expensive.

Chris, I am sorry that this is of no help to you, but while on the subject
of oil and glue this is a good point to bring up to the group. If you ever
have to submerge any wood assemblies in oil that may be used to stabilize
transformers or other things in oversized containers, the best glue to use
(drum roll please) is Elmers Wood or School glue!!!!!!!!! The very same
stuff that is broken down easily by water holds up very well under oil.
Unfortunately it only works with wood and paper products.

By the way Chris, I think you forgot something :-).

Sue
