IDEA #2
Rather similar to previous thought using inductive coupling to primary with
load
.
Make similar coil to couple to primary ie few turns of Cu tube on insulating
sheet Add sufficient Capacitance to actually tune this to Fp. Place a
resistive load across this tuned cct and place above the primary coil. .I
suspect load in series with the L and C would be fine too.
This arrangement
*Avoids big HV secondary spikes in the lab.
* Avoids having to change wiring in the primary cct to provide dummy load.
* Is a reasonable look alike for a true secondary in terms of coupling
interaction but does have a constant load ie no streamer laod at breakout
* If the load is a lamp (or series of lamps) can be used to check Max O/P
by adjusting for max brightness.
