S.G. Electrode tip
Original poster: "J. B. Weazle McCreath by way of Terry Fritz <twftesla-at-uswest-dot-net>" <weazle-at-hurontel.on.ca>
Hello Coilers,
There's another part from oil burners, besides the transformers,
that may find use in a Tesla coil. The burner nozzles seem to
be ideal for use as a spark gap electrode with compressed air
quenching. They are already pre-drilled, in varying sizes, and
the back part is threaded allowing for quick attachment to any
support you might fashion. They are magnetic, so they likely
are made from steel, or at least an alloy that is magnetic, but
they should stand the heat pretty well when you concider their
intended use.
