My experience here has been different. I have made a number of
secondaries from 3" to 6" diameter, and aspect rations of 3 to 5.
Agreement with frequencies calculated with Wheeler's simplest inductance
formula and approximation to the Medhurst tables has never been off by
as much as 5%, and has often been within 1%
