I had to rewind my secondary too:( I kinda burned a big hole in the wire.
Anyways, depending on your coil size, i would say its probably easier to
just throw away the coil and make a whole new one with a new form.(if your
forms aren't too expensive) Also find out why your coil blew up/burned/ etc,
and in the winding process think about what you could have done wrong the
first time to cause the damage. My first problem was a kink in the wires so
i made sure i didn't have any the second time around. When you are done with
the windings, put something thick on it like Pour On instead of
polyurethane.

Is there some last minute advice you fine people at teslalist could share
