Hi Brian and All,
The trick I find with doorknobs (and all ceramic caps) is to derate
them by about 4:1 (don't allow a 4000v cap to 'see' more than 1000v).
Then there is no noticeable temp rise and just a little drift. It
makes tuning at least possible. I don't recommend ceramic caps, but
if they are derated by 4:1 they work somewhat OK.
