Hi Ted,

 I tune my TC using a signal generator and o-scope to pinpoint FresSEC then
tune primary to
FresSEC - 6%

I have found this works extremely well when streamer loaded, it can be a
problem if the voltage
is very low giving spasmodic firing of the gap - I then will get a few
'backfires' until I wind
up the voltage to give a consistent streamer discharge.
