hi, im twelve. try increasing the number of turns on the primary so you can
tune it better. ground it! enough said, use a topload hmm... use a toroid.
toroid's radius should extend 2-3 times the diameter of the secondary. using
bare wire and no topload creates almost no sparks, just a boring corona.
ahem.. did you say 12 volt ignition coil? did you mean to say 12kV? get an
old micrwave, maybe your parents have an old one they kept somewhere. take
out the screws to loosen the structure of the microwave, then hit it-- hard,
with blunt objects to finally bust it open. take out the transformer and
capacitor. use them to replace the 12V coil and beer caps. once you lay
your hands on a multi thousand volt transformer, well, welcome to the club.
