I believe most new computer fans run on 12V DC. They usually say right on
them, but if not, you'll have to experiment. I would not suggest applying
120VAC as it's unlikely that's what they use.

I have been thinking about using computer fans as air cooling devices, but I

unsure as to how I should hook them up. Do I just plug it into an ac line? I
thought that they were DC at ~ 5 volts? Please help
