-- Interesting Devices and Effects

Greg,

This is an interesting theory. Easy enough to prove though. Just put the
"receiving" TC in a Faraday enclosure which should effectively block any ES
field. I think Dave Sharpe has done some work in the area of field - distance
reduction and I'm sure Richard Hull has done a lot with the ES component of
TCs.

My own personal opinion matches that of Nicola Tesla. These wireless
transmissions of energy are longitudinal wave propagations of energy. Similar
to sound waves rather than Hertzian or transverse EM waves. Please refer to
Tesla's dual grounded two coil system for wireless transmission of energy in
his patents. The interesting effects you noted were only a confirmation of
Tesla's original ideas, work and patents.

More to the point, these longitudinal emanations are merely representations of
the Poynting vector. This vector field is oriented orthogonally (90 degrees)
to both the electric and magnetic fields. Some may say there are no known
fields oriented 90 degrees to the electric and magnetic fields. Doesn't exist
in orthodox electromagnetic theory. Well of course they exist - - what's the
orientation of the Lorenz force?

Longitudinally,

RWW

Electrostatic coupling seems to be the most plausible theoryso far. The
secondary C is effectively around 130pF. If even only 1% of that C is linked to
the other toroid, then that would account for around 200 watts... perhaps more
if resonantly coupled.
