Can also be used on a

"Ay, there's the rub"
None of the coils the Group has ever made are capable of a "Before Breakout"
condition. Every bang of the spark gap results in breakout, every time. The
breakout may be really short (Depending on tune). But our coil has a 1/2turn
area of tune so it's either all or nothing. We've never had a situation
where it was properly setup and didn't have streamers, even if they were
only 5BPS as we turned the variac up.
The ion motor I have seen was run WELL beyond breakout and worked great.
Has anyone ever made one of the pendulums like mine before? I'd like to know
if it's been researched. If not....I'm really on my own, and that would
bite, however, I *could* give it a name :) The Boden Electrostatic
Pendulum...not as cool as a Potter-Bucky Diaphram (don't ask me what it is,I
don't know. I just know I have one in stock.).....but cool, lol
duck
btw: What's a Potter-Bucky Diaphram?
