No. CA Teslathon
Original poster: "Kennan C Herrick by way of Terry Fritz <twftesla-at-qwest-dot-net>" <kcha1-at-juno-dot-com>
Here's from another participant...
I too extend many thanks to Jim Heagy and Steve the X-ray Man for hosting
the Teslathon. I enjoyed the opportunity to show off my coil and I know
all the other participants did, too. There was quite a crowd Saturday
night and that was gratifying.
A periodic repeat of the event would be a great thing to get going; is
there an organizer out there for that...? The Shipyard would be a fine
locale especially since it seems Greg Leyh's monster coil lives there.
Wouldn't it be nice if the Navy and/or the City could be persuaded to
temporarily free up a giant empty warehouse for the event! The
semi-darkness within such a place would be just right.
In the good old days, the Pacific Gas & Electric Co. would likely have
been eager to help; I can remember their billboards all over the place
urging us to buy & use more electric blankets--so that they could make &
sell more electricity.
