A sizzle sound?   The only time I have heard that is when I was using a cap 
bank that was encased in wax.  The wax developed a carbon track that shorted 
the bank.  Perhaps this is something else to check.  Maybe a short develops 
when they are run for a while that corrects itself on shutting down the 
coil(are they self-healing caps?).  I haven't followed this thread due to 
being out of town, so I might be repeating something already said.
Just a guess, but maybe worth looking into.
