Hi Tom,
The RC time constant would be 50 seconds if you put them across each cap.
However, if you put them in parrallel across the whole thing you could get
down to 12.5 seconds. that would be about a 60 second discharge time (5 RC
time constants). Still kind of high and the resistors would have to take
the full voltage across the whole cap, but if it is all you have...
