I would have to concur with you, Terry :-) My 10 kVA pole pig driven
coil's secondary is wound with # 16 wire and though I may could get
by with a someahat smaller gauge, I wouldn't think that # 26 would ever
survive that much power. My max bang size runs around 10 to 12 joules
and after prolonged high powered runs, the # 16 wire sometimes gets a
little warm to the touch near the bottom of the secondary coil, so I
don't think that # 26 could ever stand up to this kind of punishment,
at least not for any more than a few seconds.
