zip-lock bag capacitors?

I have read about zip lock bag capacitors before and it sounds like a good 
design idea. I have already started to build one and i have 123  1 gallon 
zip lock bags with the zip lock parts cut off of them. I also have a sheet 
of tin foil with a tab on one side inserted into each of the bags so there 
is 1 inch of clearance on all sides of the tin foil from the sides of the 
bag. I don't have the correct capacitance quite figured out yet , but I will 
do so when i get my transformer. Is this type of capacitor any good?
Any advice or comments will be much appreciated.
