Series or parallel obit outputs?

Just a quick one...
This weekend, with the help of Mr Golding, I aquired 2 x 23mA, 10kV obits.
These are  -5kV +5kV outputs.
The question is, I know the inputs should be in parallel for UK 240v, but
should the outputs be series (20kV, 23mA)
or parallel (10kV, 46mA)?
