Hi George.

I've successfully used the cheapest brand of perfboard that money can buy.

You can see that capacitor on our webpage at:

Scroll down, to the section labeled "MMC capacitor used on 4.5" Tesla Coil". 
The capacitor was tested to destruction....the perfboard held up perfectly 
throughout it's several hours worth of HARD runtime.
