Thank you for this detailled info. Obviously the power delivered by 
these transformers is not as high as that of MOTs but they have 
the adventage to be current limited. Therefore no external ballast is 
necessary. And for a small system and evaluations they seem to 
be a good choice. I'll look for old-fashioned photocopiers.
