Hey Andrew,
First of all, MOV stands for Metal Oxide Varistor, it is an electronic
component that acts like a switch when the voltage gets too high (think zener
diodes), they are mainly used in Tesla Coils for safety protection circuits
because of their ability to direct excess voltage away from sensitive parts
(i.e., NSTs) KV stands for KiloVolts which means that 1 KV is equal to 1,000
volts. kVA stands for Kilovolt Amperes and 1 kVA is equal to 1 VA (Volt-Amp)
which is the same thing as 1 Watt (Voltage*Current). As far as your RSG, you
should be getting about 168BPS which isn't too low, but you might want to make
a Sync gap to avoid any damages to your transformer from over voltages.

What is a MOV? What is the difference between KV and KVA and what does KVA
stand for? If I have a rsg with 4 stationary electrods, eight on the disc,
and a 1350 rpm motor, is my bpm to low. Help me please!
Thanks, Andrew
