Hi all,
I checked the Al wire resonator out over the weekend. No
sparks yet as I have too much delicate stuff in the garage. However,
I did take time to measure it and get a few stats.
H = 10.75"
D = 2.3" approx (I left the paper at home - drat!)
N approx 538 (wire packing was not as dense as it could have been)
Fr about 1.25MHz bare from memory.
With several stacked toroids it came down to about 500kHz (again no
dims sorry).
Qbare was about 70
Q with the multiple toploads rose to about 100.
Isolation was not wonderful so these are indicative figures only.
I expect the coil will produce sparks in the usual manner when I
eventually fire it.
