Hi All

If it say 500,000 volts as reported on the nameplate, it could be a
capacitive coupled potential transformer. Then there should be a small, but
quite powerful, high voltage transformer inside the tank. I have seen
something similar that had a 40KV transformer inside the big tank. The big
tank I saw had all dry insulation. I wanted the transformer inside real
horror story like, but they would not give or sell it to me. What a waste
that such an excellent transformer went off to salvage.
