Big Triode,little knowledge

Hi all VTTC junkies,
I hope to join your ranks soon. I lucked out at an auction and bought
a Henry Radio model 2000d, 3000 watt RF Generator. This unit is
complete with high voltage supply, filament supply, tube socket and
cases for everything. It looks to me as if this unit was designed for
continious duty and still working. Very heavy duty. Everything is silver
and brass. Even the mounting bolts and nuts are brass.
So the most important question. I need to test the 3CX3000A7
transmitter triode. How does one accomplish this? I have a scope and
fair skills at non-RF electronics. I have no tube knowledge. I always
wanted a "toob" coil. Here is my chance, if it works.
I have a web page with photos and schematic of the beast at:

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Reply on or off list.
