Pre-catalyzed lacquer for secondary
Original poster: "teri mckenney by way of Terry Fritz <twftesla-at-uswest-dot-net>" <mck-at-ezy-dot-net>
Hello all,
Just getting ready to wrap my secondary and was think'in of coating it with
pre-catalyzed lacquer. It can be applied in literally seconds with a HVLP
sprayer and cures in 10-15 minutes. The fast curing time eliminates sags and
runs and dramatically reduces dust and bugs.P.C. lacquer is a conversion
varnish that has lacquer resins added. It cures much the same as polyurethane
and varnish in that the resins crosslink thus eliminating the problem of
plasticizer migration so common with regular lacquer. If U.V. is a major problem
maybe a final coat of marine varnish.Think it will be allright?
