   I don't think you have to worry about blacking out the city of New YOrk,
but blowing fuses in your house can happen if your power supply isn't
properly ballasted. What are you using for a power supply?  If you are using
a NST, then i suggest using a Variac and a safety gap.  The variac can be
bought from allelectronics-dot-com.  The safetly gap is a small spark gap with
three three electrodes.  The middle electrode is grounded.  Make sure that
the safety gap does not fire when connected to the NST alone.  If you are
using MOTs, then a voltage doubler circuit is important because it cuts down
the amps drawn from the MOTs while maintaining the desired voltage.  You can
