there is a way to check if there is O3or NOx gasses produced - run the coil
for half an hour in a confined space (like a bell jar or a small cupboard)
then put a lighted match into the cupboard. if it goes out, good so far.
then put a blacklight bulb into the space for about an hour, and then put a
match in. If it goes out then you have some kind of nitrogen oxide, if it
stays lit then you have ozone produced. (the blacklight bulp breaks the
ozone up into oxygen - 2 O3 => 3 O2.
