I have a line on 34KV -at- 120ma switching power supplies, 20+ units. They
are out of medical laser assemblies. I don't have the resources to buy
them all. If there is enough interest I could present an offer to the
owner and send them to list members. The guy is asking between $75 and
$100 each in quantity.
The assemblies also have a large one way thyratron (not sure on the
specifics of these, might need two back to back for tesla service) and
trigger circuit, large capacitor arrays (he has been offered $5 for each
cap for the whole , a really cool half turn voltage doubler assembly.
I would love to get just one of these monsters to play with. I don't have
any prices on the rest of the gear but can ask if there is sufficient interest.
One issue is the delicate nature of switching power supplies when used in a
situation where noise can come back up the line. Some sort of filter
system would have to be used.
Email me off list if you have serious interest in acquiring these parts
(mainly the power supplies) and I will see if I can pull together some sort
of mass buy.
