How about this. Get an old scope tube, won't work with a TV because of
the shadow mask, break off the nipple at the end carefully so as to not
let the sudden inrush of air remove the phosphor. Then insert a length of
stranded wire, heavy duty speaker wire would do, spay the ends out so it is
like a brush, connect to the toroid of a coil and see what happens.
