Re: RC filter resistor

Hi all,

Perhaps I am missing something here about using a light bulb as a resistor in
the HV circuit, but as Jim has pointed out one would need to choose a size
that runs cold, as dropping anything over 120 volts across a standard house
voltage bulb would shorten its life span very dramatically (I seem to
remember the lifespan declining as the log of the proportion of excess
voltage?)
